ELNEC stands for End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium and is an education initiative created by the City of Hope and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. ELNEC courses are written for nurses by nurses. ELNEC Train-the-Trainer courses provide nurses with education in hospice and palliative nursing, preparing them to serve as instructors teaching this critical information to other nurses in the specialty.
ELNEC Course Scholarships
The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation HPNF offers up to eight scholarships annually for HPNA members to attend an HPNA-sponsored ELNEC Train-the-Trainer Core, Communications, or Pediatrics course.

I wouldn’t want to guess at the years of experience in our group (probably into the thousands), but the breadth of experience was overwhelming. EVERYONE had something positive to contribute to the discussion and understanding of core concepts. Best of all, I now have 50 new friends to bounce ideas off of, and use as resources, as we move forward in teaching these ELNEC Modules to our peers and students.
