In today’s changing climate, it is important that we continue to learn about cultural differences in order to provide interculturally sensitive care. The payoff is significant – culturally sensitive care builds trust and rapport with patients and families, increases treatment acceptance, and opens the door for continuing education about important health matters within all communities.

The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation (HPNF) received generous grant funding from the Jack Buncher Foundation and the Y.C. Ho/Helen & Michael Chiang Foundation to provide dedicated support and resources for hospice and palliative care NAs. This grant aims to connect NAs with meaningful networking, resources, and educational opportunities that strengthen their practice and lead to improved quality of life for patients and families living with serious illness.
