HPNA Signs on to the Nursing Community Coalition’s Testimony
HPNA recently signed on to the Nursing Community Coalition’s testimony to the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies outlining our Fiscal Year 2027 appropriations request for Title VIII nursing workforce development grants and the National Institutes for Nursing Research. The testimony underscores the importance of rejecting the Administration’s budget proposal to eliminate most of the Title VIII grants and cut NINR funding. These programs are integral to building our current and future nursing workforce and advancing nursing research, and HPNA continues to work with our coalition partners to ensure these priorities continue to be funded through FY 2027 and beyond.
