HPNA Receives 2026 Power of Associations Silver Award for HPNA Palliative Care Basics Series
The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA) has been honored with a 2026 ASAE Power of Associations Silver Award by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) in recognition of its outstanding HPNA Palliative Care Basics Series, an initiative that demonstrates the powerful role associations play in solving challenges, strengthening industries and professions, and improving communities.
The ASAE Power of Associations Awards recognize associations that leverage their unique ability to convene stakeholders, inspire collaboration, and drive meaningful change. Through innovative programs, partnerships, and advocacy efforts, award recipients exemplify how associations create lasting impact that extends well beyond the members they serve.
The HPNA Palliative Care Basics Series is a state-of-the-art eLearning resource containing four courses that provide a self-paced, interactive learning experience. These courses include:
- Foundational learning for advanced practice registered nurses in hospice and palliative care
- Essential skills for registered nurses in hospice and palliative care
- A comprehensive approach to managing pain in adult patients facing serious illness
- An integrated approach to compassionate pain management for pediatric patients and their families facing serious illness
These engaging, flexible courses deliver practical, evidence-based strategies for effective and compassionate care, whether nurses are new to hospice and palliative care or looking to reinforce their knowledge.
Funding for the HPNA Palliative Care Basics Series was provided by the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation (HPNF) through generous grants from the McElhattan, Jack Buncher, Y.C. Ho/Helen and Michael Chiang, Kanarek Family, and Cameron and Hayden Lord foundations.
