CPLC® Recertification Requirements
To renew your CPLC® credential, you must complete the Hospice and Palliative Accrual for Recertification (HPAR).
During your recertification, all courses completed through the HPNA Learning Center and the Palliative Basics modules will automatically sync with your Learning Plan. Courses outside of HPNA will need to be entered into your Learning Plan. As you add activities to your learning plan, there is an option to upload a certificate for each activity. This is optional and NOT required. Only individuals selected for an audit will be required to upload a certificate for each activity.
Your HPCC credential may only be used during your four-year certification period. If you do not recertify, you must stop using the credential immediately. This includes but is not limited to your email signature, on your lab coat, employment badge, or social media profiles. HPCC conducts periodic reviews for any misuse of its credentials. If fraudulent use is found, you will be notified, and immediate action will be required.
Download the CPLC® HPAR Packet for more information about practice hour requirements, professional development activities, and more.
Reporting Period
The reporting period in which you can accumulate points for CPLC® renewal is from the day your certification begins until you submit your application. You may submit your HPAR application beginning one year prior to your expiration date up until the expiration date. HPCC offers early-bird pricing to certificants who submit their HPAR application two months prior to the expiration date.
