The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation recently awarded seven outstanding professionals with a 2025 Sandra Lee Schafer Certification Scholarship. Among the recipients was Jannine Bournias, AGNP-C, a proud member of HPNA and a dedicated Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) from New Jersey.

The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation (HPNF) is thrilled to announce the 30 outstanding recipients of the 2025 Emerging Leader Award! These exceptional hospice and palliative care nurses represent the future of the field, having demonstrated remarkable leadership, innovation, and dedication early in their careers.

The 2024 Sigma Foundation for Nursing Research Grant awardee is HPNA member Jyotsana Parajuli, PhD for her project “Development and Content Validation of a Palliative Care Readiness Tool for Family Caregivers of Older Adults with Cancer”

The goal of the Judy Lentz Leadership Development Scholarship is to recognize leadership potential, commitment to professional growth, and the ability to contribute to the hospice and palliative care nursing field. This scholarship is available to an HPNA member (CNA, LPN, RN, or APRN).
