HPCC September 2023 Newsletter
Digital Badging
Beginning in November, all HPCC certificants will be able to showcase their certification with a Digital Badge powered by Credly.
Look out for an email from HPCC with information and instructions on how to accept your digital badge during the month of October.
The benefits of using a digital badge allow you to share your abilities online in a way that is simple, trusted, and can be easily verified in real time. Badges provide employers and peers with concrete evidence of what you had to do to earn the credential and what you’re now capable of. It will also show when you earned the credential and when it will expire. Digital badges can be shared in an email signature, digital resume, or on social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. We are excited to be able to offer this benefit to our certificants!
Updated HPAR Points for APHSW-C
Beginning in 2024, all APHSW-C certificants will be required to earn 60 HPAR points for renewal.
The number of CECs required was reduced from 60 to 40 in 2021 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, which limited the ability to accrue CEC points.
Certificants may submit their Learning Plans up to one year prior to the expiration of their certification. If you are due to renew in 2024, you may submit your learning plan by 12/31/2023 and only need to complete 40 HPAR points.
