Ethical & Clinical Considerations in Treating Infections

Join us for the next edition of the 2019 National RN Educational Webinar Series on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at 3:00 pm EDT, when Joanne Kozlowski, BSN, RN-BC, CHPN, CHPCA, presents Ethical and Clinical Considerations in Treating Infections at the End of Life. The presentation will help increase knowledge on recognizing common obstacles providers face in treating infections, and help learners navigate the decision-making process for antibiotic treatment of an infection at the end of life. This course is offered to all interested participants as a continuing education service with no course attendance fee.

Ms. Kozlowski has been in the hospice industry for the past 16 years, and is currently the Senior Director of Clinical Services at Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region, where she served in a variety of roles including Case Manager, Referral Center, and After Hours. She began her hospice career at the Hospice of Buffalo as an Admissions Nurse and Assistant Team Manager. She has been certified as a CHPN since 2015 and as a CHPCA since 2017, serves on HPNA's RN Advisory Council, and is the current president of HPNA's Piedmont, NC chapter.

This activity has been approved by the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association to award 1.0 (60-minutes/contact hour) continuing nursing education contact hours and 1.0 category 1 designated pharmacotherapeutic credit hours for successful completion. Attendees must participate in activity in its entirety, attest to attendance at time of evaluation completion, and complete/submit an online evaluation. The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC) under provider number P0284.

If you have multiple HPNA members participating from the same computer, only the person logged in will receive the evaluation and CE credit.
