The desired outcome of this webinar is to facilitate nurse resilience. This webinar discussion includes components that make up resiliency to include formulating healthy environments to blend into both work and home relationships. Presenter, Melodie Garrison, provides insight into establishing best-practice strategies to promote resilience by creating daily activities to support sustainability. This presentation also offers ways to manage compassion fatigue when dealing with grief and loss.

Presenter: Melodie Garrison, BSN, RN-BC, CHPN
Melodie is a nurse with over 20 years of experience. She started her nursing career in veterinary medicine working for Friskies Petcare Company and providing veterinary and nutritional education via local social venues, as well as traveling the U.S. After her son was diagnosed with autism, she was inspired to move into the human world and received her nursing degree in 2008. She has worked in critical care, medical-surgical, hospice, and palliative medicine. She received her certification in hospice and palliative nursing in 2017. She is currently enrolled in the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and plans to graduate December 2020 with a master's degree in nursing adminstration. She has been a member of the HPNA RN Advisory Council for three years.
