Suicide risk training is more likely to be needed than CPR training, yet many clinicians aren't adequately prepared to assess for suicide risk in their patient, colleagues, or loved ones. Understanding the dynamic nature of suicidal thoughts is critical to providing "mental health first aid".

HPNA and the Social Work Hospice & Palliative Care Network (SWHPN) invite you to join us on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. EST for an interdisciplinary collaborative webinar with Dr. Brian Mistler, PhD, clinical psychologist and president of ResolutionCare Network. In this session we will discuss how clinicians can better understand suicide risk, methods for assessment, and how to reduce suicide risk for patients and families during times of anxiety and depression. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions to Dr. Mister following the presentation as well as discuss their own experiences in the clinical setting.

Activity Outcome:
65% of RN participants will indicate that this activity validates, enhances, or will cause a change in clinical practice in reducing suicide risk for patients, caregivers, colleagues, and loved ones.
