A Matter of Moments to Sustain a Lifetime:
Legacy Building for a Perinatal/Neonatal Loss

Faculty:  Jennifer Archer Papa, BSN, RN-C, NICC, CPLC
Tuesday, November 26, 2019, 3:00-4:00 p.m. EST

Creating lasting memories with a loved one who is going to die is critical in our human experience. We pass stories and share them and this validates a life that has been lived. If a newborn or unborn baby dies, the opportunity for creating memories is scant,  minimal, and sometimes nonexistent. Therefore, as nurses, it is essential that we assist families in validating the life of their child, however brief . This webinar facilitates ways to seek and create opportunities to establish a legacy of a brief life; A Matter of Moments to Sustain a Lifetime.

Jennifer Archer Papa is a graduate of Villanova University. She entered Neonatal Intensive Care as a new graduate and has been practicing bedside care for the last 31 years. She truly adores the privilege of being a nurse! In addition to caring for newborn babies and families in all degrees of wellness, Jennifer is the Coordinator of Bereavement at Yale New Haven NNICU as well as a Steering Committee Member of the Perinatal-Neonatal Palliative Care Program. Jennifer's additional interest is in education in all forms; from the intimacy of assisting parents to become parents, to educating new nurses and being a part of the foundation of their career.
